Networking (and Saving) Advice for Entertainers
Posted on August 3rd, 2009
I received an inquiry regarding marketing/networking advice last week from a Grammy-nominated recording artist. I've included the note (with name changed), my response to her question, as well as advice for those in the entertainment industry below.
Dr. Stanley,
How do I apply your techniques to music marketing - I am a recording artist. All your subjects are business people.

hello Dr Stanley,
when I saw you had a mentor's corner, I got excited. But it's only a very small mentor's corner and doesn't answer my question 'where can I find an online mentor'?
I'm a decamillionaire widow and I have no one with whom to discuss what I should do with my money. None of my friends have anything approaching what I have.
Yes, I have tax advisors and accountants and financial advisors, but we are repeatedly told in the press not to trust the financial advisors, and always handle one's financial planning one's-self. ~ I would love to talk to other affluent people who will not have their eye on their commission, and who will not be envious of me, and who can share their best investment tips.
Can you start a proper 'mentor's corner' please?
By the way I took the advice in Millionaire women and now have two PhD lodgers. It's working out really well. thank you.
